About the Event
In this workshop, we will pay homage to bell hooks and her profound work on love and the divine poetry of Sukina Noor. We will examine the relationships that nourish our souls and embody the highest form of love. Join us in this mediation on love that is rooted in community and interdependency.
About the Facilitator:
Rabih Ahmed is a Ghanaian-American Muslim poet and educator from The Bronx. Her poetry is grounded within the oral traditions and histories of the African Diaspora, binding narratives across the Atlantic. She has performed her poetry at the Apollo Theatre, Nuyorican Poets Cafe, and throughout the African diaspora. In 2017, she founded LOVE LIGHT & POETRY to offer poetry as a liberatory tool for healing and collective transformation.
